- Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.
- Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and strong heat sources.
- This specific colour is finished with an open-pore, water-based lacquer, which preserves the natural texture of the wood but means spills should be wiped up immediately with a soft cloth. Marks may linger if left unwiped.
Embrace the Patina: Because the finish sits within the wood grain rather than under a thick, sealed layer, light stains and marks may settle in over time. This develops a beautiful, natural patina through daily use, adding unique character to your piece.
Other finishes and designs in the range require less day-to-day maintenance.
Wipe Spills Immediately: Liquids should be wiped up as you go. Marks may linger if left unwiped. If clear water is dabbed off within a few seconds, it generally won't leave a permanent dark mark. Oil and heavy pigments soak into raw wood pores almost instantly on contact. Even if wiped right away, oil often still leaves a faint, grease-like shadow or darker ring behind.
Blot, Don't Scrub: If a mark lingers, blot the area gently with a soft, damp cloth rather than scrubbing harshly. Aggressive scrubbing can wear through the thin lacquer and lift the underlying colour.
